In Asakusa, one of the old Tokyo area, I found lots of food samples made of special plastics. There were sushis, chinese dim-sums, ice creams, noodles, fruits, sweets, beer, anything you can possibly imagine. In typical casual restaurant in Japan, you can find such samples in front of restaurant (Some stimulate your appetite and some deprive it.) and there were professional shops for that ;)) It was funny to see how people can earn a living selling fake plastic foods.
I have to say, the shop I dropped by, they had a real-looking sushi samples and made me want to eat sushis, so......

We got real ones! Hmmmmmm......how great they are even in a picture! That's real sushi, a proud culture of Japan ;))
(Do I hear Sybille screaming?)
