St. Patrick's weekend 2

As well as Dublin and New York, Tokyo has its own St. Patrick's Parade in both Tokyo and Yokohama. On 18 March, Tokyo's fashion street, Omotesando, seemed to be quite international and green. Full of people, Japanese, Irish, Americans, other nationalities wore something green and celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Well...it was much more about celebrating friendship between Japan and Ireland.2 little girls (looked like half Irish and Japanese) carried the flags symbolized everything about the day.

It was all about something "Irish" or "celtic". There were Guiness, Baileys, Irish Setters, U2 Fans, Japanese who love Irish folk dance, Pubs in Tokyo, and so on. Dogs are totally dressed up as a proud Irish, and even Japanese Guiness lovers looked so pround to drink Irish beer. Same as Irihs dance lovers. It's really something how Japanese people dedicated to a culture which is in completely opposite side of the earth.

Some nice music were played at the parade, too! Japanese bigpipe band and people from Bretagne also played their traditional music.

Laurent and I come to the parade almost every year when we are in Tokyo and without this event, we don't really feel that spring has come. It was one sunny Sunday and now spring has arrived ;))
